- What to do if this
warning light comes on?
- This is the tyre pressure warning light.
- Tyre pressure drops in colder temperatures, which can trigger the warning. (High temperature differences between day and night usually trigger this warning light.)
- If the tyre is visibly deflated, inspect for punctures or visible damage.
- Check your tyre pressure using a gauge or at a petrol station.
- You can inflate tyres at any local petrol station.
- Reset the tyre pressure system. (For quick and simple help with this, just Google the model/brand of car that you are currently driving)
- What to do if this
warning light comes on?
- This is a service light and it’s indicating that the car is due for its regular service.
- You can operate the vehicle even if this light is on.
- This light has no effect on the functionality of the car.
- How to turn off Lane Assist
?
- In most vehicles, Lane Assist is automatically activated when the engine is started and will adjust the steering if you are not driving in the center of the lane.
- If you wish to disable this feature, you will need to do so manually each time you start the vehicle.
- In some cars like Kia, it’s located on the left side below the steering wheel. Simply hold the button for a few seconds until it turns off. In cars like Peugeot or VW, you will have to turn it off in “vehicle settings” found on the car’s computer system (center console).
- What to do if this
warning light comes on?
- It is generally safe to drive with a check engine light on.
- That light is an indication that something is amiss with your engine or transmission. It is an amber light, therefore a warning.
- If this happens, please call the closest Avia office for advice.
- What to do if this
warning light comes on?
- Your engine has lost oil pressure.
- It could simply indicate that your oil levels are low, or it might signify a more serious issue, such as a complete engine oil leak, anywhere in between is also possible.
- Either way, pull over to a safe place, turn the engine off straight away and please call the closest Avia office for advice.
- What to do if this
warning light comes on?
- If the Ad Blue signal light turns on (on diesel vehicles) you can refill it at any local petrol station on your own expense.
- Only in case when you have Avia Supreme insurance (assistance included) you can save the receipt and claim the money back at the end of the rental period in one of our offices. Please inform the office previously.
- Do all cars have air conditioning (A/C) ?
- Yes, all cars in our fleet come equipped with air conditioning.
- If you think your A/C is not working, please double check if the A/C button is on. In some cars, it can be a bit difficult to find.
- For example, in Fiat (Panda) the A/C button is located on the center console (picture on the bottom) and you turn it on by simply pressing down on it. An orange light on it will turn on when active.
- Every car brand and model is different, so the A/C button is not always going to be located in the same spot.
- Please keep in mind that A/C efficiency may also vary from car to car.
- Hybrid-type cars (Jeep Avenger, Peugeot 2008, 3008, etc.) will often turn down A/C power if you get stuck in traffic in order to preserve battery life. (This function can’t be disabled.)
- What to do if my key battery runs out and I can’t unlock my car?
- Every car key comes equipped with a physical key which is used to open the car if your remote key is not working properly.
- Depending on the car brand/model, this key is accessed differently.
- To take out the key, simply look for a small button on the key, hold it down and pull the key out (picture 1). Place the key in the keyhole located on the car door, then turn the key (left or right) to lock or unlock the car.
- To turn on the car, just place the key next to the NFC symbol (picture 2), usually located on the right side below the steering wheel (in some cars it can be found in the cup holder), and start the car normally.
- Do all cars come equipped with a spare tyre or tyre repair kit?
- Yes, all cars have either a spare tyre or tyre repair kit.
- It’s located in the trunk of the car (in the spare tyre well).
- Please inform the closest Avia office if you plan to use either the spare tyre or tyre repair kit.
